The Environmental Sanitization Operator is responsible for proactively providing a clean, safe
and sanitary environment for the safe production of food products in accordance with company
policy and abiding with all food safety regulations, standards and guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following:
Operators will follow the Master Cleaning Schedule and document their work
correctly and accurately.
Operators will clean, sanitize, correct and document any deficiencies found on
the weekly sanitization audits.
Operators will correctly disassemble, clean, sanitize and reassemble all
production equipment in adherence with the company’s sanitization policy. This
work will be documented and verified by daily microbial swab reports.
Operators will be trained and certified to safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
Operators will be trained and authorized to safely use, mix, label and store
Operators will be able to work safely and productively with minimal supervision
Other duties may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: The incumbent must be able to read, write and speak
English fluently, possess excellent communications and organizational skills and be able to work
under stressful conditions to meet strict deadlines.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK ENVIRONMENT/EQUIPMENT: Incumbent will work in a wet
non-temperature controlled production environment. From time to time the incumbent may be
asked to work overtime to meet strict deadlines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The incumbent must be able to lift and carry materials or parts
weighing up to 50 pounds
