Description

While providing individual, group and family therapy, the clinical therapist participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning by developing an annual comprehensive psychosocial assessment and crisis intervention consultation. Must be able to provide OPT and other Core Services

Essential Functions

  1. Provides individual, group and family therapy.
  2. Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
  3. Develops an annual comprehensive psychosocial assessment.
  4. Provides crisis intervention consultation to all members of the team.
  5. Provides in-service training to home staff as appropriate, and in conjunction with training services under the direction of the clinical manager. Participates in agency-wide training programs and in-services.
  6. Participates in the peer-review process for the clinical therapist.
  7. Documents in the medical record according to requirements of regulatory agencies.
  8. Submits service activity logs, weekly and monthly schedules, time sheets and mileage to the clinical manager.
  9. Participates as a member of quality management committees .

Experience and Education

  1. Master’s degree in social work or related program or Ph.D. in psychology.
  2. Two to three years of experience working in community mental health.
  3. State license or registration to meet the requirements of a qualified mental health professional.
