Quality Assurance Tech
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring that the products and materials received, made and shipped meet quality specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: include the following:
Monitor audit and report on incoming products and materials, testing to ensure quality.
Monitor and adjust product weights, pasteurizer, retorts, and clock charts on the production lines.
Set up laboratory equipment, conduct required testing; maintain logs, report and document results.
Modify/adjust formulas to maintain product specifications and document changes.
Adjust Raw Material inventory per production line usage.
Keep workplace neat, clean and sanitary in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Follow established safety rules and report deficiencies found.
Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: The incumbent must be able to read, write and speak English fluently, possess excellent communications and organizational skills and be able to work under stressful conditions to meet strict deadlines.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK ENVIRONMENT/EQUIPMENT: Incumbent will work in a lab within a non-temperature controlled production environment. From time to time the incumbent may be asked to work overtime to meet strict deadlines.
EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES: Incumbent must be able to operate testing and standard office equipment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The incumbent must be able to lift and carry packages up to 30 pounds
